Laura Albrecht, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Laura Albrecht is an Alliance native dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered dental care through advanced clinical training, lifelong learning, and a commitment to serving her community.
Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Laura (Twaddle) Albrecht is a 2003 graduate of Alliance High School and earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Mount Union, with minors in Spanish and Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Research Honors from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2016.
Following dental school, Dr. Albrecht completed a two-year General Practice Residency at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, serving as Chief Resident during her second year. Her residency provided advanced training in emergency dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, hospital dentistry, and the treatment of medically complex patients.
Commitment to Excellence
In 2024, Dr. Albrecht received the prestigious Fellowship Award (FAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry, recognizing her dedication to continuing education and excellence in patient care.
She remains actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Stark County Dental Society, Comprehensive Dental Excellence Forum, and Spear Study Club.
Leadership & Teaching
Dr. Albrecht is passionate about education and mentorship. She serves as part-time Clinical Faculty at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital Dental Residency and was honored to serve as President of the Stark County Dental Society in 2025.
Community & Service
Giving back has always been an important part of Dr. Albrecht's career. She has participated in numerous dental mission trips throughout Kenya, Haiti, Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Mexico, providing care to underserved communities around the world.
Outside the office, Dr. Albrecht enjoys spending time with her husband David, volunteering, hiking state and national parks, and remaining actively involved in the Alliance community.
